These armored vehicles are a good opportunity to acquire an excellent combat vehicle for the following reasons: They are in excellent condition and technically adapted to the region. Their proven technology and reliable low-maintenance operation. The 90 mm gun which the team is used by many foreign forces and the French army on overseas operations, particularly in West Africa. VAB armored chassis whose reputation is well established has been used successfully for many years both in the desert and in the jungle. THESE VEHICLES WERE BOUGHT BY THE FRENCH POLICE. THEIR ROLE WAS SERVING LOCAL SUPPORT TACTICS IN AN INVASION OF FRANCE. THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN USED IN OPERATION AND ARE CLOSE TO THE NINE. THEY HAVE NEVER LEAVES FRANCE AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED AND STORED AS OF ENGAGEMENT MATERIALS
Renault designed the VBC-90 (Armored Fighting Vehicle) tank destroyer for foreign clients. This vehicle uses a large majority of the components of the VAB armored troop transport. The first prototype was released in 1979. The French Gendarmerie has acquired 28 copies in 1983. (VBC-90s)
The VBC-90 is armed with a gun of 90–mm. The turret GIAT TS-90 used is identical to the turret of the Panhard ERC-90 F4 Sagaie tank destroyer.
Auxiliary armament consists of a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. Another 7.62mm anti-aircraft machine gun can be mounted as an option.
The engine is a turbocharged Renault MIDS 06.20.45 diesel, developing 220 hp. The VBC-90 is not amphibious.
